Relationships are crucial to who we are and who we become. While we often associate relationships with other people how we interact and engage with them, we often don’t think about the relationship we have with ourselves. Life experiences alone show us how important it is to have a relationship with yourself. Perhaps it’s when emotions are heightened that we are triggered to feel and observe what is happening at that moment, in our body, emotionally, mentally and spiritually for an audit.

There are often contrasting ways to analyze a situation, direct your focus to the other person or internalize the outcome to self. Either way, it’s a behaviour that is learned and repeated and now become a pattern. However, understanding that the relationship with self is important, to be kind and gentle with yourself and, most importantly, be honest when sitting in your quiet place. After all, it’s your truth that matters to you, as you are the only one living it, or not.
